-the bottle floated along the water. -carefully. -as if the message inside was guiding it. -it’s last trek left its patient in tears. -sometimes it could tell if they were happy or sad, but this time it couldn’t tell. -they were almost in an in between of just a remembered memory’s effect. -this next assignment felt lighter. -maybe a love letter, maybe a confirmation allowing them to breath better. -it never knew until it saw the words reflected back on its glass and their facial expression. -so until then, it just grazed across the water and waited.
