-she was finally catching up with life it seemed. -and a big part of that was being back into her deep cleaning routine. -she’d still keep things tidy along the way -but the energy to intentionally clear a space of not just dirt or dust, but whatever else could be living there with her. -she started with the front rooms first, then any clutter in the kitchen and bedrooms -then lastly, not sure if it was on purpose or not, she had finally contained the study nook of her home -it was one of those areas without a door but still an opening and enough space to sit and fit furniture -she had already had sheer curtains hung and settled with a peak a boo opening -and a long chaise for a window seat -and across enough bookcases to line the wall. -after vacuuming and dusting the wood, plants, and curtains, she took a shower and then decided to return to that same space. -something about the little privacy held for her, almost as if it had been a secret saved, made it extra special -and the air that much more comfortable. -then the slight breeze from the window cracked, stirred just enough of the books’ sweet smell to bring up the different memories they captured. -some were series sets that she had already read, but kept long enough to forget and relive the feeling again. -and a few were some she hadn’t started, but still remembered what was going on in her life when she bought them. -regardless of their status or bookmark placement, all of them were patient. -and maybe that’s the peace that was in the room. -a fill of thoughts, but still clear, cleaned and no rush.
